The Australian and Aotearoa New Zealand Gastric and Oesophageal Surgery Association

AANZGOSA was formed in 2006 and provides a vehicle for improving and promoting the surgical management of diseases of the stomach, oesophagus and upper gastrointestinal tract. To achieve this, AANZGOSA organises appropriate educational activities with multidisciplinary engagement. This includes promoting and coordinating research (particularly clinical) as well as interacting with government and other professional organisations to construct and publish clinical guidelines. AANZGOSA also organises fellowship other post-FRACS fellowship training opportunities for surgeons seeking additional training in upper gastrointestinal surgery..
